Thanks I've changed/improved my technique on almost every portrait. For the first daenerys one that you commented on, I shaded with a 4b and used the smudge stick to try and create the texture. In the improved one of that I used a tissue paper to create a better gradation between the light and dark parts.

In the Walt drawing I put on layers. Using mostly smudgestick instead of tissue paper since his skin was not very smooth. I used the kneaded eraser and pencil to create random wrinkles and smoothed some down and let others be sharp so it stays random and not uniform.
