Walt from Breaking Bad by prod44 Walt from Breaking Bad by prod44
This is Walter from Breaking bad. This one took around 40 hours not including the critique phase. What it looked like before critique: [link]

(btw does anyone know how to remove old prints? When I first started using this website a couple months back, I thought the prints section of uploading was part of the whole process, did not know it was a choice.)

I can help you with skin texture like this for more of a realistic finish without blending.

Do you use a printed photo or computer screen as referance as you draw

In this case it was photo on screen. In my newest two work in progress, the references were printed since I have to draw at school.

How do you match the size of the photo on screen

I dray 1:1.I find really high res references.

It's not possible for the bigger pieces that I'm doing right now (24X18)

K, messaged it. Dude you're a 13 y/o self taught artist. What you are doing is way beyond what I could do at that age. Just take some drawing classes once you start high school and keep an open mind.

Thanks! Turns out they don't want promotional posters and all my drawings are from photos, not actual screenshots. (Better lighting and quality that way)

I could consider drawing a new one though, thanks.

It's an amazing show, I highly recommend it. I know nothing about drugs but the drama is really intense. Finish the first season atleast (6 episodes), you should be good and addicted by then ;)

And thanks for the comment, glad you liked it :)

Thank you :) The eyes were really fun to do as always. This is the first drawing I have had to add skin texture, how did you make it look so realistic in your Churchill drawing?

I liked the photo of Churchill from 1941 it was perfect the lighting and everything...I started drawing all from one piece no going back just forward and i done it in 3 stages the sketch the basic and full details, and i done a eye sketch of Churchill before in my collection and that helped me a lot

It was smooth prior to critique. I just went over it with a pencil slightly. The whole drawing so the smoothing was undone. After I picked random spots and used the smudge stick to smudge. Then I picked random parts and took away slight parts using the kneaded eraser where the light was falling.

I've never done the method before and it was scary trying something new so late into the drawing but I'm glad it worked out, thanks :)

I think yours looks awesome. I noticed you moved on to different projects, are you going to finish the breaking bad one?

Hopefully, I was trying to find a good way to draw in the white hairs and get a good blue pencil to color in the word king in breaking. and then above, write 'all hail the'
